Overview
Lead fundraising strategy and build statewide philanthropic partnerships. Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans while cultivating relationships with major donors and institutions. Translate civil liberties issues into compelling investment opportunities.

- 1Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with organizational priorities
- 2Partner with Executive Director to establish multi-year fundraising strategies
- 3Build and maintain strategic relationships with philanthropic leaders and civic partners
- 4Lead major-gift, foundation, corporate, and planned giving initiatives
- 5Identify emerging philanthropic opportunities through trend analysis
- 6Collaborate with Legal and Public Engagement staff on donor engagement strategies
- 7Partner with Executive Director and Board to cultivate donor relationships
- 8Expand statewide philanthropic presence through new supporter cultivation
- 9Oversee donor communications and stewardship processes
- 10Supervise development staff and foster high-performing fundraising culture
- 11Track fundraising performance and develop strategic revenue projections
Requirements5
- 1Ten or more years of progressive leadership experience in nonprofit fundraising
- 2Proven success in securing major gifts and institutional partnerships
- 3Extensive knowledge of Indiana's philanthropic and civic landscape
- 4Ability to engage senior executives and high-capacity donors
- 5Commitment to the ACLU mission and nonpartisan values
Salary Insight
$92 - $111k per year
