What You'll Do10

  • 1Oversee all financial operations with the Rector, Treasurer, and Finance Council, ensuring accuracy of accounts payable and receivable
  • 2Supervise the Director of Finance, reviewing payment processes and negotiating contracts with on-campus entities
  • 3Manage employee onboarding, benefits, and exits, maintaining confidential records per legal and diocesan requirements
  • 4Serve as primary HR contact for policies, compliance, and employment law adherence, including Safeguarding training
  • 5Coordinate vendor relationships, maintain preferred vendor list, and verify liability coverage
  • 6Oversee facilities compliance, permits, and inspections, and report updates to the Facilities & Grounds Council
  • 7Manage space usage and rental agreements, ensuring proper scheduling and contract management
  • 8Supervise maintenance contractors and coordinate with municipal organizations for Sunday police officer and parking permits
  • 9Respond to inquiries on giving and facilities, and manage the ShelbyNext church management software
  • 10Process Diocesan Council registrations and accommodations for clergy, staff, and lay delegates

Requirements9

  • 1Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent training and/or experience
  • 25+ years in business administration, operations, or nonprofit management
  • 3Demonstrated experience with facilities, staff, and vendor management
  • 4Experience supervising staff or volunteers
  • 5Proficiency with database management systems
  • 6Knowledge of HR best practices and basic employment law
  • 7Preferred: experience in a church, nonprofit, or faith-based organization
  • 8Preferred: familiarity with the Episcopal Church structure and governance
  • 9Preferred: experience with ShelbyNext or similar church management systems
