Overview

The Director Controller - Security Solutions leads financial integrity for Security Solutions globally. This role reports to the VP Controller and collaborates with finance teams treasury regional controllership and GBSC. It focuses on optimizing accounting structures and establishing internal controls.

What You'll Do11

  • 1Partner with Security Solutions finance partners to advise on accounting matters revenue recognition expense recognition software capitalization and impairment reviews
  • 2Assess accounting implications of operating models agency versus principal considerations and ASC 606 revenue recognition
  • 3Liaise with Regional Controllers on global initiatives to ensure consistency across regions
  • 4Interface with external auditors regarding GAAP application in digital payments
  • 5Manage compliance activities such as Mastercard policies Sarbanes-Oxley Act and Internal Audit
  • 6Prepare monthly quarterly and ad hoc management reporting including variance analysis and executive presentations
  • 7Influence change through collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
  • 8Review processes to mitigate operational risks and identify automation opportunities
  • 9Partner with finance operations to implement front-end and back-end controls
  • 10Coordinate with technical accounting team to apply Mastercard policies and provide consulting support
  • 11Complete special requests from senior management for analysis and research

Requirements10

  • 1Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Finance or related discipline CPA or CA required
  • 2Strong advisory credentials to business partners and senior leadership
  • 3Excellent communication and leadership with financial acumen
  • 4Experience assessing financial controls and ensuring compliance
  • 5Proven collaboration across workstreams and global/local corporate levels
  • 6Ability to define problems collect data and draw conclusions
  • 7Proficiency in Excel PowerShell Hyperion and Oracle
  • 8Merit-based employment in the US or Canada
