Overview
The Director, Business & Legal Affairs supports Fox’s corporate development and strategy across Television Sports Entertainment Technology Streaming and Creator Economy. This partner works closely with business unit leads and senior executives to drive acquisitions divestitures investments and other strategic transactions. The role also includes legal oversight for Fox Studio Lot operations production facilities real estate and procurement.
What You'll Do6
- 1Lead and manage M&A transactions from inception to completion including transaction structure due diligence negotiation and execution of agreements
- 2Advise clients on legal and business issues related to mergers acquisitions joint ventures and other strategic transactions
- 3Draft review and negotiate legal documents such as term sheets purchase agreements operating agreements diligence requests and non-disclosure agreements
- 4Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transaction execution and optimal post-closing integration
- 5Provide overall project management for complex multi-jurisdictional transactions
- 6Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate successful business outcomes
Requirements10
- 1Juris Doctor degree 4-6+ years of transactional legal experience
- 2Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- 3Proven track record managing complex M&A transactions
- 4Familiarity with commercial and real estate contracts technology-driven solutions and intellectual property law
- 5Ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities and deadlines
- 6Excellent negotiation reasoning and communication skills
- 7Active member of the California bar
- 8Experience with DeltaView and iManage
- 9Eligibility for Registered In-House Counsel status
- 10Pay range $128000 to $175000 annually with discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits
