Direct Support Professional (DSP) Overnight Weekend
Overview
You will enhance lives of individuals with behavioral health needs by supporting personal outcomes through daily living skills, community involvement, and advocacy. Work 16 hours per week on overnight shifts: Thursday 12:00 am - 8:00 am and Friday 12:00 am - 8:00 am. What You'll Do8
- 1Support individuals in achieving personal outcomes through daily living skills training and community engagement
- 2Assist with personal care needs, including hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation
- 3Advocate for individuals' rights and choices in community settings
- 4Maintain accurate records of progress and incidents per agency guidelines
- 5Drive individuals to appointments, activities, and community events using your valid PA Driver's License
- 6Collaborate with team members to implement individualized support plans
- 7Respond calmly and effectively to behavioral challenges, using crisis intervention techniques
- 8Provide overnight supervision and support, ensuring safety and well-being
Requirements7
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2Valid PA Driver's License and access to a reliable car preferred
- 3Experience with autism or behavioral health preferred
- 4Pass physical/PPD and pre-employment drug screening
- 5Ability to assist with daily living skills and personal care needs
- 6Professional record-keeping and communication skills
- 7Safe driving record and team-oriented mindset
