Dining Service Supervisor Los Angeles
Overview
Lead the Dining Room operations at Variel Assisted Living in Los Angeles overseeing food and beverage services and ensuring resident satisfaction. This full-time exempt role reports to the Director of Culinary Services and involves supervising staff and managing daily operations.
What You'll Do11
- 1Supervise dining room aesthetics and staff when manager is absent
- 2Coordinate efficient seating arrangements for residents and guests
- 3Schedule waitstaff and checkout servers to maintain service standards
- 4Record meal counts and manage reservations and charges
- 5Maintain knowledge of POS systems and liaise with dining manager
- 6Confer with executive chef and food director on operational issues
- 7Perform morning rounds of market dietary and kitchen areas
- 8Provide coffee services for resident events and administration tasks
- 9Carry food and beverage cell phone for callouts
- 10Cross-train with dietary aides and report equipment damage
- 11Participate in cost control and inventory processes
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 2One year of host/lead server experience in fine dining or hospitality
- 3Availability seven days a week from six a.m to eight thirty p.m.
- 4Ability to lift fifty pounds frequently and stand for extended periods
- 5Strong communication skills for interacting with residents families and staff
- 6Knowledge of menu interpretation and service coordination
- 7Physical stamina to meet demands of light to moderate effort
- 8Applicable health or alcohol compliance certification
