Culinary Service Supervisor, Senior Living Dining
Overview
Own dining room operations at The Point at Rockridge, a senior living community in San Francisco. Supervise wait staff, manage service flow, and ensure resident satisfaction. Report to the Director of Culinary Services. This role combines front-of-house leadership with hands-on service, requiring strong hospitality expertise. You'll shape the daily dining experience for hundreds of residents.
What You'll Do10
- 1Supervise dining room operations, including staff scheduling, table assignments, and closing duties.
- 2Greet and seat residents during meal times, addressing concerns and ensuring service needs are met.
- 3Train wait staff on operating procedures, menu education, and proper food handling techniques.
- 4Ensure service within budgeted guidelines, track daily sales transactions, and assist with inventory for areas like liquor.
- 5Monitor resident satisfaction, develop action plans to address feedback, and partner with kitchen staff on adjustments.
- 6Maintain sanitation and safety standards across dining room and wait stations.
- 7Evaluate food quality for presentation, temperature, and portion size.
- 8Monitor table service for timing and etiquette, providing hospitality training as needed.
- 9Manage resident accounts for meal charges and ensure floor chart accuracy.
- 10Support timekeeping and payroll entries as needed.
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or equivalent.
- 22+ years experience in fine dining.
- 3Dining room supervisory experience preferred.
- 4Flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
- 5Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
