Overview

Maintain and repair advanced diesel and non-diesel equipment including chassis components, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, engine diagnostics, suspension and drivetrain repairs, and heating and air conditioning diagnostics. Diagnose electrical issues using scan tools and lead line maintenance and fabrication tasks. Perform inspections and repairs independently.

What You'll Do11

  • 1Maintain advanced knowledge of vehicle components and systems with complex repair proficiency on-site and on the road
  • 2Repair chassis components and refuse bodies including control hydraulic and electrical systems
  • 3Service air and hydraulic braking systems
  • 4Perform engine repair and diagnostics
  • 5Understand diesel fuel systems and fuel diagnostics
  • 6Diagnose electrical concerns using scan tools
  • 7Conduct line maintenance welding and fabrication
  • 8Identify malfunction sources using electronic tools
  • 9Complete company training programs
  • 10Handle other job-related duties as assigned
  • 11Lead multi-system issue diagnosis and technical expertise

Requirements8

  • 15-7 years of experience working on heavy-duty trucks
  • 2Ability to perform inspections and repairs without supervision in some cases
  • 3Valid driver’s license
  • 4ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) preferred
  • 5LNG or CNG experience preferred
  • 6Class B commercial driver’s license minimum requirement
  • 7Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • 8Commitment to safety and quality standards
