Device Verification Engineer - Acacia Networks
Overview
Acacia Communications seeks a Device Verification Test Engineer to lead automated testing of PIC devices and enhance production yields. This role collaborates with integrated silicon photonics RF optical packaging and ASIC teams to develop test algorithms and drive design verification documentation. Successful candidates will differentiate themselves by delivering high-yielding high-throughput processes and debugging new PICs and modules.
What You'll Do9
- 1Design and execute automated test algorithms and calibration procedures
- 2Develop test plans and define design verification strategies
- 3Lead debugging efforts for PIC level failures and troubleshooting
- 4Collaborate with RF silicon photonics DSP and module design teams
- 5Analyze and resolve device failures through root cause investigation
- 6Maintain comprehensive verification documentation
- 7Support continuous improvement of verification processes
- 8Drive yield optimization initiatives through test data analysis
- 9Ensure alignment with production requirements and quality standards
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years related experience or Master’s with 4+ years or PhD with 2+ years
- 2Proven lab experience with fiber optics components and test equipment
- 3Experience with high bandwidth RF testing and client optics
- 4Knowledge of optical communications including PAM4 and coherent systems
- 5Proficiency in Python and data analysis tools like JMP
- 6Familiarity with DAC/ADC operations and control systems
- 7Understanding of DSP and SerDes testing methodologies
- 8Experience with VPI modeling and C++ programming
- 9Ability to communicate effectively and document technical processes
- 10International and domestic travel capabilities required
