Developmental Program Coach, Child Development & Cognitive Training
Overview
You own the in-center experience for kids and adults in the Brain Balance program, guiding 1-hour sessions that combine sensory stimulation with physical exercises to improve core strength, balance, coordination, and cognitive processing. You work directly with participants ages 4-18 and adults, supporting those with ADHD, anxiety, learning disabilities, and autism. You report to the Center Director and collaborate with a team of coaches to deliver structured, drug-free interventions. This role suits a high-energy individual who thrives on seeing developmental breakthroughs in a hands-on setting.
What You'll Do6
- 1Guide participants through 1-hour in-center sessions, following the Brain Balance protocol to improve motor skills, sensory integration, and cognitive function.
- 2Motivate and engage students during exercises targeting core strength, balance, coordination, and visual processing, adapting activities to individual needs.
- 3Track participant progress and adjust session activities based on performance and feedback from the program director.
- 4Communicate with families about session outcomes and home activities to reinforce progress.
- 5Maintain a safe, supportive environment, ensuring equipment is used correctly and sessions run on schedule.
- 6Collaborate with the team to refine coaching techniques and share insights on participant breakthroughs.
Requirements6
- 11+ years experience working with children or families in a coaching, teaching, or support role.
- 2Passion for understanding brain development and how sensory-motor activities drive cognitive and emotional gains.
- 3Ability to engage and motivate children and adults in a structured, fast-moving environment.
- 4High energy and self-driven with excellent interpersonal skills.
- 5Available to work 2pm-7pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday onsite in Austin, TX.
- 6Background in psychology, education, kinesiology, or related field preferred.
Salary Insight
$35 - $40k per year
