Overview

The Development Coordinator supports the Principal Gifts office within Development and Alumni Relations at Vanderbilt University. What You'll Do13

  • 1Provide operational and logistical support for Principal Gifts team members including event support travel meeting preparations data reporting and other team activities
  • 2Manage daily office operations coordinate internal communications and handle requests as directed
  • 3Assist with research on prospects and donors using the CRM VandyQuest summarizing findings and preparing event briefs
  • 4Conduct research projects and generate data reports for team members and key partners
  • 5Create activity reports in databases for communications and constituent meetings
  • 6Coordinate logistics and planning for Principal Gift events and internal staff events
  • 7Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously ensuring timely completion based on deadlines
  • 8Offer high level support for calendar scheduling expense reporting procurement and budget management
  • 9Maintain knowledge of fundraising database and other project information management systems to update and utilize data
  • 10Manage data input and output while maintaining quality control and data integrity
  • 11Follow up after donor visits by sending mailings packages and donor materials
  • 12Collaborate with team members on special projects and initiatives
  • 13Establish communication flow with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements10

  • 12-3 years of relevant work experience or equivalent
  • 2Associate’s degree or the equivalent is necessary with a bachelor’s preferred
  • 3Experience within development and higher education
  • 4Excellent interpersonal management skills confidentiality discretion and professional attitude
  • 5Ability to make independent decisions and possess strong oral and written communication skills
  • 6Proficiency in Microsoft Excel PowerPoint Outlook Teams Word
  • 7Ability to perform well under pressure and complete tasks independently
  • 8Experience with budgeting procurement and financial policies
  • 9Strong multitasking and time management abilities
  • 10Commitment to confidentiality and discretion
