Overview
Lane McNab Interiors seeks a Designer or Architect for their Berkeley studio. This is an advanced intermediate or proficient level position for someone with 5+ years experience. The role involves leading small to mid-size projects and supporting large ones. It's ideal for a proactive organizer who can manage budgets and coordinate with senior designers and project managers. The ideal candidate will be self-sufficient adaptable accountable curious and a team player.
What You'll Do12
- 1Own all project details including deadlines and junior staff work
- 2Own overall project hours ensuring budget adherence
- 3Familiarity with construction phases and contractor needs
- 4Reading architectural plans and drafting construction details
- 5Researching materials furniture and finishes
- 6Creating design studies for principal and client evaluation
- 7Creating schedules sourcing furniture and leading procurement
- 8Working directly with surveyors architects and clients
- 9Creating construction documents such as lighting electrical plans and elevations
- 10Preparing renderings for presentations
- 11Presenting to leadership teams and clients
- 12Managing project management from conception through completion
Requirements11
- 13-5 years of design experience preferred
- 2Architecture background welcome
- 3Expert proficiency in SketchUp required
- 4Local candidates only
- 5Valid CA driver’s license and insurance
- 65+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 7Familiarity with millwork tile stone and other finish materials
- 8Knowledge of general best practices
- 9Proactive self-direction and adaptability
- 10Accountability for deadlines and quality
- 11Curiosity and eagerness to learn
Salary Insight
$83 - $125k per year
