Dental Assistant, Pediatric & X-Ray Certification
Overview
You will own the clinical flow of a pediatric dentistry practice, preparing rooms and instruments for each child's visit. Backed by a collaborative team of hygienists and a dentist with 1,000+ hours of continuing education, you'll deliver chairside care to a multi-ethnic patient base. This role stands out with a 3-day week and a direct path into treatment coordination. You'll work with digital X-rays and 3D scans, keeping the office OSHA- and HIPAA-compliant.
What You'll Do8
- 1Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments before each pediatric procedure.
- 2Provide chairside assistance during dental treatments, handing instruments and managing suction.
- 3Take digital X-rays and 3D scans following strict infection control protocols.
- 4Maintain accurate patient records in the practice management system.
- 5Educate patients and families on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
- 6Ensure cleanliness and compliance with OSHA and HIPAA standards.
- 7Manage dental supply and equipment inventory, tracking usage and restocking.
- 8Support scheduling, insurance verification, and medical record updates.
Requirements5
- 1Active NJ X-Ray Certification (required).
- 21+ year of dental experience, pediatric preferred.
- 3Strong communicator, comfortable with pediatric patients and families.
- 4Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- 5Ability to commute to Fairfield, NJ 07004.
