Dental Assistant, Multi-Specialty Practice
Overview
You will support a multi-specialty dental team in Burlington, MA, delivering patient care across general, orthodontic, and surgical procedures. As the Certified Dental Assistant, you will work with Digital X-Ray systems and Dentrix software in a fast-paced clinical setting. Your schedule spans Tuesdays, alternating Mondays and Wednesdays, plus one Friday monthly. This contract role offers hands-on exposure to specialty care and a collaborative team culture.
What You'll Do8
- 1Assist dentists during procedures by passing instruments, retracting tissues, and operating Dental Suction and Air-Water Syringe.
- 2Prepare treatment rooms for patients by sterilizing instruments, arranging trays, and verifying Sterilization Logs.
- 3Take and mount Digital X-Rays to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- 4Record patient medical histories and vital signs, updating Dentrix charts with accurate entries.
- 5Educate patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene, reinforcing dentist instructions.
- 6Manage inventory of dental supplies, restocking operatory drawers and ordering as needed.
- 7Support front desk with patient flow, escorting patients to rooms and collecting dismissal paperwork.
- 8Serve as a second set of hands for oral surgery, orthodontic adjustments, and periodontal therapy.
Requirements7
- 1Massachusetts Dental Assistant License
- 21+ year experience in a dental office, preferably multi-specialty
- 3CPR/BLS Certification
- 4Dentrix or similar practice management software proficiency
- 5Proficiency in Digital X-Ray imaging and Panorex
- 6Strong patient communication and teamwork skills
- 7Willingness to learn and grow within a multi-specialty practice
Salary Insight
$25 - $32k per year
