Demand Planner North America Retail
Overview
We seek a Demand Planner – North America Retail to lead regional demand and inventory strategy for Oura’s North America retail business. You will own forecasting replenishment and inventory analysis while translating point‑of‑sale and promotional signals into actionable demand plans. This role drives scalable planning processes and supports growth across key partners.
What You'll Do17
- 1Build and maintain weekly monthly and quarterly sell‑through and sell‑in forecasts for North America retail partners
- 2Translate retailer POS inventory positions historical trends seasonality and promotional plans into demand assumptions and forecast updates
- 3Support monthly consensus planning by preparing inputs highlighting changes and identifying risks and opportunities
- 4Maintain visibility of baseline demand upside downside and key forecast drivers across retail accounts
- 5Develop and refine planning logic assumptions and cadences as the business scales
- 6Monitor retail inventory health using on‑hand inventory on‑order weeks‑of‑supply and forward‑looking demand
- 7Recommend sell‑in and replenishment plans balancing revenue goals service levels and inventory health
- 8Identify risk areas such as low stock excess inventory phase‑in and phase‑out transitions and launch constraints and escalate with clear recommendations
- 9Partner with Supply Planning and Retail on promotional events assortment changes and new retailer product or door launches
- 10Convert commercial plans into forecast assumptions and planning scenarios for launches and lifecycle transitions
- 11Contribute to end‑of‑life planning by assessing inventory exposure markdown risk and timing shifts
- 12Own recurring retail demand planning analyses and reporting including forecast versus actuals trend views and inventory health metrics
- 13Analyze weekly and monthly performance explaining outcomes drivers and recommendations for next plan
- 14Maintain audit trail of forecast changes impact on units revenue and inventory
- 15Build and improve tools and reporting in Google Sheets Tableau or similar platforms
- 16Shape business requirements and validate outputs for planning system improvements including retail forecasting and inventory workflows
- 17Support process improvement work‑streams that make retail planning more scalable accurate and decision‑oriented
Requirements11
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons leading demand planning initiatives for physical products in retail consumer electronics or CPG
- 3Advanced proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets
- 4Comfortable working with large datasets from POS inventory and shipment sources
- 5Strong analytical and modeling skills including experience with sell‑through versus sell‑in promotional lifts inventory targets and weeks‑of‑supply
- 6Cross‑functional collaboration with commercial supply planning finance and product stakeholders
- 7Ability to translate analysis into clear business insights with key drivers risks and recommendations
- 8Experience with planning tools such as Pigment Anaplan o9 Blue Yonder or Relex
- 9Familiarity with BI platforms like Tableau Looker or Power BI
- 10Background in consumer electronics wearables premium hardware or multi‑channel physical product businesses
- 11Support for new retail launches assortments or expansion into new markets
