Overview
Daytime Dishwasher owns the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen equipment and service ware at Edgeworth Club, a private club in Pittsburgh. You will operate commercial dishwashing equipment, hand-wash delicate items, and maintain a steady supply of clean dishes for daily operations. Joining a collaborative culinary team, you will support chefs and servers during peak meal periods. This role offers a stable daytime schedule (34-36 hours/week) with full benefits after 90 days, including health insurance and IRA matching. A daily meal is provided, and you will contribute to the club's high standards of service and hospitality.
What You'll Do10
- 1Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, glassware, silverware, cookware, and utensils using commercial dishwashers
- 2Hand-wash delicate or oversized items to meet sanitation standards
- 3Sort, scrape, rinse, and load dishware into dishwashing machines to maintain a clean supply chain
- 4Monitor dishwashing chemicals and notify supervisors when replenishment is needed
- 5Support kitchen staff by assisting with delivery storage, stocking supplies, and removing trash and food waste
- 6Sweep, mop, and maintain kitchen floors, sinks, and work areas to ensure a safe, hazard-free environment
- 7Follow all sanitation procedures established by the Club and local health authorities
- 8Transport clean dishes, cookware, and supplies to designated storage areas
- 9Assist with prepwork occasionally and support culinary operations during peak meal periods
- 10Respond promptly to requests from kitchen and dining room personnel to ensure smooth service
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2Previous dishwashing, kitchen, restaurant, hospitality, or food service experience preferred but not required
- 3Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
