Dayshift Warehouse Associate, Glass Handling & Safety
Overview
The Dayshift Warehouse Associate will own receiving, storing, and distributing automotive glass products at scale, ensuring safety and accuracy. Work in a fast-paced warehouse with forklifts and inventory systems. Collaborate with team members, drivers, and supervisors to meet daily shipping and receiving goals. This role offers hands-on material handling, quality control, and hands-on learning with equipment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build inbound receiving and inspection processes for automotive glass and related materials
- 2Design accurate picking, packing, and loading of customer orders to ensure damage-free delivery
- 3Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely while maintaining productivity
- 4Drive quality checks to ensure products meet company standards and minimize defects
- 5Own inventory records using warehouse management systems and participate in cycle counts
- 6Sort and organize the warehouse space to reduce damage and improve workflow
- 7Coordinate loading/unloading with drivers to ensure proper stacking and securing of products
- 8Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow safety procedures to protect fragile glass
- 9Communicate with team, supervisors, and drivers to ensure smooth operations
- 10Monitor safety compliance and support OSHA guidelines
Requirements5
- 1high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 22+ years reach truck experience strongly preferred
- 3ability to operate forklifts and warehouse equipment
- 4lift up to 75 pounds regularly
- 5basic computer skills for inventory tracking and shipping/receiving documentation
