Daycare Basketball Coach & Life Skills Trainer
Overview
Own the daily basketball and life skills development for daycare children in Dublin and Marysville. Build confidence, coordination, and character in young players through structured practices and caring mentorship. Work directly with daycare facilities to ensure safe, engaging sessions. This role starts with 1-2 shifts weekly and can grow to 6-7, making it ideal for someone seeking a consistent, year-round impact.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead each practice with a sturdy presence, modeling confidence and emotional connection for children
- 2Prepare for each session by reviewing lesson plans and focusing on basketball and life skill objectives
- 3Maintain accurate rosters and track player attendance at every practice
- 4Coordinate with daycare staff to ensure players arrive and return safely, maintaining clear communication
- 5Build caring relationships by using each child's name and highlighting their strengths
- 6Commit to consistent weekly shifts to establish stability and rapport with the children
- 7Set up and clean up equipment, leaving the facility as found
- 8Adapt communication style to match each age group, ensuring clear instructions and engagement
- 9Supervise all players at all times, ensuring no child is out of sight
- 10Structure practices with a huddle at start and end, stretching, and activities that reinforce the lesson
Requirements10
- 1HS Diploma required, College Diploma preferred
- 2CPR Certified (company provided)
- 3Clean background check (company provided)
- 4High-energy, enthusiastic, and positive demeanor
- 5Experience and passion working with children
- 6Strong communication skills, adjusting to different age groups
- 7Responsible and committed to professional expectations
- 8Must be available weekdays between 8:45am-12pm or 2:15pm-5pm year-round
- 9Must be willing to provide TDAP/MMR vaccination records for daycare requirements
- 10Ability to commute to Dublin, OH 43016
