Overview
You will own the daily cleanliness and hygiene of a customer facility in Sacramento, ensuring all areas are safe and presentable during business hours. Working within the PRIDE Industries custodial team, you will handle restrooms, offices, breakrooms, and emergency spills using proper chemicals and equipment. What You'll Do10
- 1Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies using restroom cleaning chemicals and sanitizing agents.
- 2Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors across offices and common areas with vacuum cleaners and industrial mops.
- 3Empty wastebaskets and recycling bins, and manage recycling materials for proper disposal.
- 4Clean breakrooms and cafeterias, restock utensils and coffee supplies, and prepare coffee for events.
- 5Set up meeting rooms and event spaces with furniture and equipment as requested.
- 6Respond to emergency spills and customer cleaning requests using spill cleanup kits and disinfectants.
- 7Wash accessible windows and blinds, and clean interior glass surfaces.
- 8Monitor and report cleaning supply inventory to maintain stock levels.
- 9Remove snow or debris from walkways using snow shovels and small power equipment.
- 10Perform incidental furniture moves and call in maintenance work orders as needed.
Requirements10
- 11+ years of custodial work experience in commercial or office settings.
- 2Effective communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
- 3Ability to use a wide range of custodial chemicals including general cleaning chemicals and sanitizers.
- 4Safe operation of custodial equipment: vacuum cleaner, backpack vacuum, and cardboard baler.
- 5Computer literacy for data entry and retrieving information using business software and the Internet.
- 6Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
- 7Lifting ability to handle up to 35 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally.
- 8Climbing ability to use ladders and step stools for high cleaning tasks.
- 9Customer service skills to solve problems and respond to requests promptly.
- 10Written English skills for clear documentation and communication.
