Day Porter, Commercial Cleaning & Maintenance
Overview
You'll own the daily upkeep of shopping centers, malls, and HOA common spaces, keeping them clean and presentable for tenants and visitors. This role is 80% outdoors and demands someone who works reliably without direct supervision. You'll handle restroom sanitation, trash removal, and exterior cleaning across a multi-acre property. What You'll Do8
- 1Clean and restock restrooms, ensuring supplies are always available.
- 2Vacuum, dust, and de-web interior common areas to maintain a polished look.
- 3Sweep and mop floors, and empty trash and recycling receptacles throughout the property.
- 4Power wash awnings, sidewalks, and exterior surfaces to remove dirt and grime.
- 5Pick up litter from parking lots, walkways, and landscaped zones.
- 6Wipe down outdoor tables, chairs, and benches to keep them inviting.
- 7Report maintenance issues, spills, or safety hazards to management promptly.
- 8Use cleaning chemicals safely and correctly, following all safety guidelines.
Requirements9
- 1Ability to speak, read, and write in English and Spanish.
- 2High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- 31+ year of janitorial or maintenance experience preferred.
- 4Capacity to lift 35+ lbs and stand or walk for 8-hour shifts.
- 5Physical ability to bend, stoop, and reach for cleaning tasks.
- 6Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- 7Strong communication skills with management and customers.
- 8Detail-oriented and able to work independently under tight deadlines.
- 9Must pass a background check and drug test.
