Data Integration Engineer (Federal) - Washington DC
Overview
Own the design, development, and optimization of enterprise financial data integration for a federal agency's IT Financial Management modernization. You will connect Delphi, PRISM, Oracle EPM, and IMPACT systems, build ETL pipelines, and ensure accurate, secure movement of financial information. What You'll Do10
- 1Design, develop, and maintain data integration solutions for federal financial systems, including Delphi, PRISM, Oracle EPM, and Oracle IMPACT.
- 2Build and manage ETL processes to extract, transform, and load financial data from multiple sources into enterprise data environments.
- 3Develop and maintain APIs, data interfaces, and system connections to support real-time data flow between financial, operational, and reporting platforms.
- 4Perform data mapping, validation, cleansing, and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and integrity across systems.
- 5Automate manual financial processes using Power Automate and other workflow tools to reduce operational overhead.
- 6Develop interactive dashboards in Power BI to deliver actionable financial insights to stakeholders.
- 7Implement data quality controls, validation processes, and audit trails to support federal compliance and audit-readiness.
- 8Troubleshoot and resolve data and integration issues, performing root cause analysis and coordinating technical resolutions with system owners.
- 9Document system designs, interface specifications, data dictionaries, and user guides to support implementation and maintenance.
- 10Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, testing, and demonstrations, to deliver iterative improvements.
Requirements10
- 15+ years of experience in data engineering, systems integration, or enterprise application development.
- 2Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field.
- 3Proficiency in SQL development for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
- 4Hands-on experience with ETL tools and data warehousing concepts.
- 5Experience integrating enterprise financial or business systems, such as Delphi, PRISM, Oracle EPM, or IMPACT.
- 6Strong skills in developing and consuming REST APIs and managing data interfaces.
- 7Experience with cloud-based data environments, including AWS or Azure.
- 8Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and document them clearly.
- 9Familiarity with Power BI, Power Automate, and other analytics platforms for reporting integration.
- 10Experience supporting audit-ready systems with data lineage, controls, and comprehensive documentation.
