Cyberspace Operations Planner, DCO-IDM & Joint Planning
Overview
You will lead defensive cyberspace planning for the DCDC mission, shaping operations across DoD networks. Working with DISA GSM-O II, you'll integrate JIPOE and apply operational art to develop plans that meet Commander's intent. You'll guide multi-stakeholder teams through the Joint Planning Process (JPP) and produce CONOPS, OPLANS, and mission orders. This role stands out for direct exposure to GO/FO leadership and the chance to drive DCO-IDM strategy.
What You'll Do9
- 1Lead deliberate planning using the Joint Planning Process (JPP) for defensive cyberspace operations.
- 2Support Crisis Action Planning by applying JPP frameworks under tight timelines.
- 3Develop and staff CONOPS and Level 1-4 plans such as BPLANS, CONPLANS, and OPLANS.
- 4Integrate JIPOE inputs into cyberspace planning products.
- 5Coordinate with joint staff and combatant commands to de-conflict plans.
- 6Author mission type orders synchronizing defensive cyberspace campaigns.
- 7Develop assessment indicators to measure operational effectiveness.
- 8Brief SES and GO/FO leadership on planning outcomes.
- 9Lead Operational Planning Teams and working groups to achieve mission end states.
Requirements6
- 112+ years of combined education and experience in cyber planning or related fields.
- 2Active TS/SCI clearance with eligibility for C/I Polygraph.
- 3JPME II certification or qualification.
- 4Working knowledge of JP 3-12 and JP 5-0 planning doctrine.
- 5Experience briefing SES and GO/FO leadership.
- 6Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
