What You'll Do11
- 1Prepare and validate customs entries using IKEA’s in-house systems and coordinate with brokers to ensure accurate submissions
- 2Monitor import and export clearance processes to meet local and international compliance requirements
- 3Manage FTZ shipment processing and track reconciliations for U.S. Customs and Border Protection
- 4Analyze customs data to identify errors and drive corrective actions for improved accuracy
- 5Collaborate with customs brokers and logistics providers to provide operational guidance across North and South America
- 6Ensure ISF compliance and stay updated on trade regulations for seamless import operations
- 7Perform post-entry audits and corrections while maintaining detailed compliance records
- 8Contribute to process improvements in FTZ shipment handling and reporting
- 9Develop and implement best practices aligned with IKEA’s global trade strategy
- 10Maintain clear communication with stakeholders to align on import procedures
- 11Support continuous improvement initiatives within customs operations
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Logistics International Business or related field
- 2Minimum 3 years experience in customs brokerage or import operations
- 3U.S. Customs Brokerage License preferred
- 4Proficiency with FTZ processes entry writing and tariff classification
- 5Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance including USMCA and ISF standards
- 6Experience with SAP GTS or Descartes and advanced Excel skills
- 7Analytical mindset to identify process gaps and implement improvements
- 8Excellent problem-solving and communication skills for global stakeholder coordination
- 9Ability to thrive in a fast-paced multicultural environment
- 10Commitment to continuous learning in customs and trade compliance
