Customs Compliance Coordinator (Temp to Hire)
Overview
Temp role focused on ensuring compliant U.S. Customs data entry and follow up for import and export logistics. Responsible for maintaining compliance with FDA EPA DOT and other Participating Government Agencies while supporting Clients.
What You'll Do11
- 1Handles Customs Clearance of Shipments: Compiles and analyzes required documents to meet US Customs and PGA requirements transmits entry documents based on commercial invoices determines and tracks duties and taxes processes payments based on tariff knowledge
- 2Helps Maintain Records: Supports migration to paperless using digital document management systems E-DOCs and cargo tracking systems for CHB internal operations and external clients works with management to implement electronic documentation prepares e-doc codes and packets
- 3Supports Regional Branches: Implements electronic documentation for branches engages customers to demonstrate online tracking tools
- 4Follows Standard Operating Procedures: Abides by written procedures develops personal understanding of account flows and customs practices
- 5Complies With Regulations: Enforces adherence to federal state and local requirements files accurate reports and advises General Manager
- 6Keeps Senior Management Informed: Reviews special reports summarizes trends and identifies business related patterns
- 7Ensures Smooth Operations: Guarantees branch functions establish guidelines and verifies staff accuracy
- 8Contributes to Team Effort: Completes related tasks volunteers time assists colleagues
- 9Maintains Professional Knowledge: Attends workshops reviews publications builds networks and participates in cross training

Requirements8
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons experience with FDA EPA DOT and BXA
- 35+ years experience with US Customs Regulations and Harmonized Tariff Codes
- 4Conversion rate $49,920-$52,000 per year
- 5Ability to commute to Torrance CA 90504
- 6Strong knowledge of Incoterms
- 7Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Word and Excel
- 8Tactful mature flexible attitude and conversational Japanese preferred
