Customer Service Associate - Retail & Checkout | Walgreens
Overview
You will own the front-end customer experience at a high-volume Walgreens store, handling checkout, returns, and customer inquiries. You'll partner with a team of 5-10 associates and shift leads to keep the store running smoothly. You'll also manage photo services and web pick-up orders, ensuring every customer leaves satisfied. This role offers 30-hour work weeks with flexible scheduling and full benefits.
What You'll Do9
- 1Greet customers and offer help with products and services, resolving issues to keep them coming back.
- 2Ring up sales on the cash register, process cash, card, and mobile payments, and handle returns and exchanges.
- 3Merchandise shelves and counters, set up promotional displays, and complete store resets to keep everything fresh.
- 4Check in and price incoming merchandise, rotate stock using the first in, first out method, and restock shelves as needed.
- 5Protect company assets by following asset protection procedures and staying compliant with laws on regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- 6Deliver photo services: process passport photos, print posters, and guide customers through the creative machine.
- 7Fulfill web pick-up orders in Picture Care Plus, pulling items and handing them to customers when they arrive.
- 8Keep the store clean and organized, both inside and out, to create a welcoming environment.
- 9Train on company PPLs and attend sessions to sharpen your customer service skills.
Requirements7
- 16+ months of retail experience preferred, but not required.
- 2Prior work experience with Walgreens is a plus.
- 3Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- 4Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- 5Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs (implied from retail environment).
- 6High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 7Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
