Customer Service Associate - Retail & Checkout
Overview
You will own the customer checkout experience at Walgreens, handling sales, returns, and exchanges with speed and accuracy. You will engage customers and patients, offering products and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience. You will maintain store operations, from stocking shelves to managing displays and photo services. This contract role in Raleigh, NC combines retail service with operational duties, ideal for a dependable team player.
What You'll Do10
- 1Greet customers and offer assistance with products and services, modeling Walgreens service traits.
- 2Register sales on assigned cash register, processing cash, credit, and digital payments accurately.
- 3Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure satisfaction, escalating when needed.
- 4Recommend items to customers, suggesting trade-up and companion products to increase sales.
- 5Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges following store policies.
- 6Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, taking inventory and maintaining records.
- 7Check in and price merchandise as directed, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local laws.
- 8Build and maintain displays, including seasonal and promotional setups, and complete resets.
- 9Assist in photo department, including passport photos and poster printing, and handle web pick-up orders.
- 10Maintain store cleanliness and organization, inside and out, to create a welcoming environment.
Requirements8
- 1Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- 2Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- 3Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
- 4Prior work experience with Walgreens is preferred.
- 5Knowledge of cash register operations and customer service best practices.
- 6Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 20 pounds.
- 7High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 8Must be at least 18 years old (or 21 for roles involving alcohol/tobacco sales).
