Customer Service Agent, Remote Insurance Support
Overview
You handle inbound calls from existing Jerry policyholders, making policy changes and resolving issues. You work with 55+ insurance carrier partners and 5M+ customers, processing requests like adding vehicles or drivers. You join a fully remote team that has been profitable since 2024. Every call you take helps retain a customer and keep their coverage active. You get paid to earn your P&C license within 60 days.
What You'll Do8
- 1Answer inbound calls from existing customers and resolve policy questions.
- 2Process service requests: add or remove vehicles and drivers, add lienholder info, send policy documents.
- 3Explain coverage and policy benefits, then make changes as needed.
- 4Retain policyholders by finding solutions for customers at risk of cancellation.
- 5Document every interaction in Zendesk and update policy records in Salesforce.
- 6Work with carrier partners like Progressive, Geico, and State Farm to complete changes.
- 7Meet call quality and response time targets while delivering clear, empathetic support.
- 8Escalate complex issues to senior agents or the leadership team when needed.
Requirements6
- 12+ years in a call center environment handling inbound customer calls.
- 2Pass a background check and obtain your P&C license within 60 days of hire.
- 3Work full-time with a 5-day, 8-hour schedule or a 4-day, 10-hour schedule.
- 4Live in one of the approved states: AZ, FL, GA, NV, NY, NC, TN, TX, UT, or VA.
- 5Use Windows or Mac computers and a reliable internet connection.
- 6Communicate clearly and professionally in English, both written and verbal.
