What You'll Do17
- 1Maintain cleanliness of assigned buildings and facilities
- 2Empty and clean trash receptacles
- 3Dust and clean office furniture
- 4Clean interior and exterior windows and glass doors
- 5Disinfect and clean bathroom areas
- 6Sweep and scrub floors
- 7Strip seal wax and buffer tile floors
- 8Replenish supplies and materials in restrooms and supply room
- 9Vacuum traffic areas and shampoo carpets
- 10Clean kitchen areas including stoves vents sinks floors counters
- 11Ensure areas being cleaned are safe and set out warning signs
- 12Perform security checks and report unauthorized persons
- 13Prepare centers for user groups and set up tables chairs
- 14Perform minor maintenance such as touch-up painting carpentry plumbing
- 15Change light bulbs and other repair activities
- 16Maintain walkways and entrances around buildings
- 17Execute yard work and maintain grounds
Requirements9
- 12 years of custodial experience
- 2Formal or informal training ensuring reading writing proficiency
- 3Knowledge of janitorial methods materials and equipment
- 4Ability to safely operate toxic chemicals
- 5Physical stamina for moderate heavy lifting and prolonged standing
- 6Experience with power and non powered janitorial equipment
- 7Capacity to work independently without constant supervision
- 8Strong communication skills and ability to interpret instructions
- 9Willingness to travel between sites
