Custodian Driver Union Hall
Overview
Maintain a clean and healthy environment at the Union Hall location in Jamaica NY. Drive staff and clients between locations. Provide custodial services and support facility operations.
What You'll Do11
- 1Clean sweep and mop offices bathrooms kitchens program delivery areas and common areas daily
- 2Perform minor repairs and maintain a professional working space
- 3Unload and store deliveries move furniture and equipment
- 4Remove garbage and clear sidewalks for snow removal
- 5Prepare floors for stripping and waxing and apply paint finishes
- 6Report observations to supervisory staff about safety and security issues
- 7Assist with moving furniture and clearing walkways
- 8Drive staff and clients to site locations when necessary
- 9Facilitate communication with staff and participate in policy development
- 10Participate in training and staff development activities
- 11Drive to different locations for cleaning and maintenance duties
Requirements6
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 2At least six months custodial service experience
- 3Familiarity with custodial equipment and processes
- 4Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a clean Driver’s Abstract
- 5Ability to lift 75 pounds
- 6Physical stamina for lifting and moving heavy items

$35 - $38k per year
