Overview
You will prepare and serve meals for residents at Villas At Brookview, ensuring quality, quantity, and dignity in every plate. Working under the cook, you'll follow established policies and procedures for the Culinary Services Department. What You'll Do8
- 1Assist the cook in preparing meals according to scheduled mealtimes and established policies.
- 2Serve meals to residents, offering choices to preserve personal dignity and meet individual desires.
- 3Control food costs, quality, and quantity through daily portioning and inventory checks.
- 4Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, following sanitation and safety standards.
- 5Support the Culinary Services Department in meeting resident satisfaction goals.
- 6Adapt meal service to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
- 7Communicate with nursing staff and residents to ensure meal service aligns with care plans.
- 8Participate in training and team meetings to enhance service quality.
Requirements5
- 11+ years experience in food service or culinary settings preferred.
- 2Current Food Handler certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
- 3Ability to stand and walk for 8-hour shifts and lift up to 50 pounds.
- 4Commitment to working with geriatric residents and understanding their special needs.
- 5Qualify for employment after criminal background study per Minnesota Department of Human Services guidelines.
