Overview
Lead transitional placement services for former enrollees and graduates. Serve as primary contact for graduates and former enrollees during transition placement and follow up. Initiate referrals to off-center placement specialists and community agencies. Contact employers and one-stop centers to arrange interviews and promote initial placement. Maintain regular contact with former students and document in automated case management system. Verify document and report placements meeting PRH requirements using ETA-678. Work closely with department staff and workforce development centers. Produce and distribute placement reports. Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Do9
- 1Be the principal point of contact for graduates and former enrollees during transition placement and follow up as appropriate
- 2Initiate transitional support referrals to off-center placement specialists and other community agencies
- 3Contact employers and one-stop centers to arrange for interviews and other activities to promote initial placement
- 4Make regular contact with former students during the placement and follow-up period; provide services as needed; document in the automated case management system
- 5Verify document and report placements meeting PRH requirements using the automated system and ETA-678
- 6Maintain regular contact with career development specialists and career technical training instructors on site
- 7Work closely with department staff to gather information and maintain open communication with workforce development centers throughout the state
- 8Produce and distribute placement and follow-up reports
- 9Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements5
- 12 years related experience. Experience may include successful Job Corps outreach and admissions experience or successful outreach and admissions experience with other youth development programs
- 2Bachelor's degree in human services psychology counseling education social science communications or closely related field or Associate's degree in human services psychology counseling education social science communications or closely related field and two years related experience
- 3Valid State Driver's License
