What You'll Do8
- 1Deliver anesthesia for neurosurgery, burn care, and orthopedics cases with high acuity.
- 2Collaborate with CRNAs and anesthesiologists to build care plans for each patient.
- 3Manage hemodynamics and airway in complex procedures, adjusting anesthesia depth intraoperatively.
- 4Document anesthetic records and hand off to PACU staff with clear communication.
- 5Participate in 24-hour on-call rotations, responding to emergency cases outside regular hours.
- 6Mentor student nurse anesthetists during clinical rotations, sharing expertise in complex case management.
- 7Titrate vasopressors, inotropes, and anesthetics based on real-time patient data.
- 8Coordinate with surgical teams to anticipate needs during lengthy or high-risk operations.
Requirements7
- 1CRNA certification and state licensure in Pennsylvania.
- 22+ years of experience in complex anesthesia, including neuro and burn cases preferred.
- 3Proficiency in ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia and invasive line placement.
- 4Ability to work 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts, plus optional 24-hour on-call rotations.
- 5BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- 6Graduate from an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
- 7Strong decision-making in emergency situations, with attention to patient safety.
