Overview
The Craft Cocktail Bartender will own the craft beverage program and guest experience at The William, delivering precise cocktails and knowledgeable pairings in a high-end setting. You will contribute to a welcoming yet elevated atmosphere, balancing classic techniques with modern influences. This role sits at a newly opened New American Chophouse and Bar in Mesa, demanding hospitality leadership and consistent execution. You will collaborate with a team to maintain quality and guest satisfaction at scale.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build memorable guest experiences through warm hospitality and tailored recommendations
- 2Design and prepare classic, signature, and spirit-free cocktails with precise technique and presentation
- 3Maintain knowledge of the cocktail program, wine list, beer selection, spirits portfolio, and features
- 4Protect beverage quality with accurate pours, proper storage, batching, and waste control
- 5Drive beverage sales by engaging guests and promoting signature cocktails and premium offerings
- 6Maintain a clean, stocked, and safe bar space and manage opening, running, and closing procedures
- 7Collaborate with servers, bartenders, and leadership through service and pre-shift trainings
- 8Ensure compliance with Arizona liquor laws, safety standards, and sanitation practices
- 9Enter orders, manage checks, and process payments via POS accurately
- 10Support team development and contribute to a positive hospitality culture
Requirements9
- 1Minimum 5 years of bartending experience in craft cocktails or upscale dining environments
- 2Excellent communication and guest-service skills
- 3Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and modifiers
- 4Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and composure
- 5Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
- 6Valid Arizona Title 4 Certification and Food Handler Card required
- 7Preferred: formal wine/spirits/cocktail education or certifications like Court of Master Sommeliers Intro, Cicerone Level 1
- 8Experience with TOAST POS
- 9Full-time availability including evenings weekends holidays
