Overview
A pediatric outpatient COTA will own one-on-one therapy for children ages 2-12 in a family‑centered, play‑based clinic. You will work under an OTR/L, implementing individualized plans across sensory, fine motor, visual‑motor, self‑care, and play skills. The role supports flexible scheduling, mentorship, and a collaborative interdisciplinary team. This position differentiates itself through a well‑equipped sensory gym and strong emphasis on home program education.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build one‑on‑one occupational therapy sessions for pediatric patients under supervision
- 2Deliver individualized treatment plans targeting sensory integration, fine motor, visual‑motor, self‑care, and play skills
- 3Document clinical progress and complete timely charting
- 4Educate families on home exercise programs and treatment goals
- 5Collaborate with OTs, SLPs, and other team members on care planning
- 6Participate in team meetings and family education sessions
- 7Support therapy goals for children with ASD, sensory processing disorder, and developmental delays
- 8Engage in a flexible schedule including weekday afternoons and weekends
- 9Contribute to a well‑equipped sensory gym and therapy equipment usage
- 10Maintain compliance with state licensing and clinic policies
Requirements7
- 1Active Massachusetts COTA license
- 2Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- 3Strong organizational and documentation abilities
- 4Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
- 5Preferred: pediatric outpatient experience
- 6Commitment to family‑centered pediatric care
