Overview
We seek a Cost/Inventory Accountant for a manufacturing firm in Kingston WA. This role involves tracking inventory costs and improving financial performance. The ideal candidate enjoys deep analysis and works with operations.
What You'll Do11
- 1Maintain inventory valuation for raw materials WIP and finished goods
- 2Manage project-based cost accounting systems in SAP
- 3Perform routine inventory reconciliations and ensure accurate posting
- 4Track COGS and identify cost drivers
- 5Partner with operations to support inventory accuracy
- 6Assist in monthly financial statements per GAAP and IFRS
- 7Prepare journal entries and supporting reconciliations during close
- 8Maintain general ledger accounts including cost centers
- 9Support fixed asset management and depreciation schedules
- 10Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal controls
- 11Assist with audits and provide documentation to external auditors
Requirements9
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons of experience in accounting
- 3Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4CPA or CMA certification preferred
- 5Microsoft Excel proficiency with pivot tables
- 6Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- 7Experience with ERP systems like SAP
- 8Knowledge of Washington State tax compliance
- 9Self-starter mindset with cross-functional collaboration abilities
