Turner & Townsend seeks a Cost Manager Quantity Surveyor to lead construction cost services in Phoenix. You will advise clients on strategies manage vendor prequalification assess proposals develop estimates review bids conduct bid interviews and champion cost recommendations. This role drives value engineering risk assessments and collaborates with cross functional teams to ensure profitable outcomes.
What You'll Do9
- 1Advise clients on strategies manage prequalification of vendors assess proposals bids and bid levelling documents make final recommendations chair bid interviews and oversee appointment processes
- 2Develop project estimates review junior estimates present value engineering recommendations and meet with vendors to validate costs
- 3Establish reporting schedules review cost reports present budgets and spend forecasts develop commercial risk registers and host periodic meetings with project teams
- 4Review payment applications liaise with project managers recommend contractor entitlements review change orders and apply dispute prevention procedures
- 5Manage invoicing process benchmark performance and handle post contract audits account closeouts conduct post contract reviews and create handover procedures
- 6Utilize Bid Analysis Sheets Change Control Forms Cost Estimating Software and Take off Software
- 7Perform all duties through preparation of required documentation
- 8Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable
- 9Support construction consultancy experience and RICS accreditation
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor’s degree in construction management cost management quantity surveying engineering or related field
- 2Minimum 3–5 years experience in cost management or quantity surveying within construction industry
- 3Strong understanding of procurement routes value management and value engineering
- 4Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- 5Proven ability to work in a dynamic and innovative environment
