What You'll Do7

  • 1Advise clients on the tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and joint ventures
  • 2Support corporate and commercial real estate transactions from a tax planning and structuring perspective
  • 3Counsel clients on the formation and operation of pass-through entities, partnerships, and LLCs
  • 4Draft and review operating agreements, partnership agreements, and related transactional documents
  • 5Analyze complex tax issues and prepare tax opinions
  • 6Provide ongoing tax guidance and strategic counsel following transaction closings
  • 7Collaborate with corporate, real estate, and transactional attorneys to deliver practical business solutions

Requirements9

  • 15+ years of experience in corporate and tax law
  • 2Strong background advising clients on partnership taxation, pass-through entities, and business transactions
  • 3Experience supporting M&A transactions and entity structuring matters
  • 4Experience preparing tax opinions and complex tax analyses
  • 5Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • 6Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • 7Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • 8Licensed to practice law in Illinois and in good standing
  • 9CPA preferred, but not required
