Overview
The Coordinator of Operations leads daily operations for Penn Campus Recreation facilities. This role owns facility management schedules staff development and ensures safe high-quality experiences for the Penn community. It differs by focusing on comprehensive facility oversight across multiple locations.
What You'll Do13
- 1Provide daily operational oversight of all Campus Recreation facilities including Pottruck Health & Fitness Center Fox Fitness Center and Sheerr Pool
- 2Manage opening and closing procedures enforce facility policies conduct routine building walkthroughs and submit work orders
- 3Lead recruitment hiring onboarding scheduling and training of operations staff
- 4Develop and implement staff development program emphasizing customer service policy enforcement and operational competency
- 5Oversee maintenance cleaning safety inspections and lifecycle tracking of 250+ pieces of fitness equipment
- 6Serve as on-shift first responder for medical emergencies and facility incidents
- 7Conduct building walkthroughs to monitor signage AED/first aid supplies and communicate findings to appropriate staff
- 8Maintain personal ARC CPR/AED certification in compliance with departmental standards
- 9Utilize Fusion recreation management software to manage scheduling program enrollment and point-of-sale operations
- 10Generate and maintain operational reports including facility usage data equipment status logs and incident documentation
- 11Assist in development of Campus Recreation operational policies and procedures
- 12Coordinate practice times and event space reservations with other program coordinators
- 13Contribute to departmental planning processes and support strategic priorities
Requirements6
- 1Bachelor of Science and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2ARC CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer within 30 days
- 3Experience in recreation fitness athletics or facility operations a plus
- 4Proven ability to lead and develop student or frontline staff
- 5Familiarity with risk management and emergency response practices preferred
- 6Strong technology skills including scheduling and operational software
Salary Insight
$50 - $54k per year
