What You'll Do5
- 1Prepare and serve all food items based on standardized recipes including sauces sautés boils braises roasts fries steams grills bakes and short order cooks.
- 2Assist in food prep assignments daily prep special functions banquets catering holiday events and stock maintain food levels at line stations.
- 3Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours determine menu supplies and ensure quality temperature and appearance of food.
- 4Follow safety procedures handle kitchen equipment and comply with sanitation standards and uniform policies.
- 5Perform other duties as required and assigned by chefs or supervisors.
Requirements5
- 1Minimum three years experience as a cook in hotel restaurant retirement community or similar institution.
- 2Ability to plan organize work interpret instructions recipes specifications and standards.
- 3Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance.
- 4Some knowledge of nutrition and diet.
- 5Culinary education preferred.
