What You'll Do8
- 1Prepare hot and cold menu items on the grill, sauté station, salad bar, and service line, following standardized recipes and portion controls.
- 2Taste and adjust seasonings to meet quality and palatability standards for every shift.
- 3Assemble salads, sandwiches, and plate presentations with consistent portion sizes and visual appeal.
- 4Coordinate with dietary team to time food prep for service windows and resident meal periods.
- 5Follow food safety protocols for storage, labeling, and rotation, including ServSafe practices.
- 6Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and utensils to meet health code requirements.
- 7Adapt recipes for special diets, including low-sodium, pureed, and allergy-friendly options.
- 8Support front-line service during peak hours, restocking pans and communicating with servers.
Requirements6
- 11+ years cooking in a high-volume kitchen, with senior living experience preferred.
- 2Working knowledge of production methods, portion control, and food handling safety.
- 3Strong organizational skills to manage multiple stations and prep lists.
- 4Clear communication to coordinate with dietary team and serve residents.
- 5Attention to detail in food presentation and portion accuracy.
- 6Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
