Construction Manager, Residential Home Building
Overview
Manage the construction of custom homes for veterans and first responders, ensuring code compliance and on-time delivery. Lead a team of Project Managers, builders, and architects across multiple sites. Coordinate with stakeholders to balance family needs, budgets, and timelines. This role directly impacts the quality of life for service members.
What You'll Do8
- 1Review and approve builder proposals, contracts, and change orders.
- 2Track project milestones, budgets, and material procurement against schedules.
- 3Conduct weekly meetings with Project Managers and support teams to align on progress and risks.
- 4Build and maintain relationships with builders, architects, and vendors to ensure quality and accountability.
- 5Verify lien releases and owner's representative reports to protect the Foundation's interests.
- 6Monitor Buildertrend daily logs for field updates and address issues promptly.
- 7Visit project sites in and out of state to oversee construction quality and compliance.
- 8Produce weekly progress reports for leadership and stakeholders.
Requirements8
- 15-7 years of residential construction management experience.
- 2Proven leadership in supervising construction teams and managing field operations.
- 3Ability to read and interpret architectural plans accurately.
- 4Strong organizational and communication skills for cross-functional coordination.
- 5Working knowledge of regulatory compliance, safety standards, and housing codes.
- 6Proficiency in Buildertrend, R.S. Means, Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, or equivalent tools.
- 7Capability to manage multiple projects and personnel simultaneously.
- 8Willingness to work on site in Staten Island, NY and travel as needed.
Salary Insight
$85 - $100k per year
