As a Construction Contracts Support Specialist at San Diego Unified School District, you will manage post-award contract administration for facilities construction and design projects. What You'll Do8
- 1Process contract documents, including purchase orders, change orders, and invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with district policies.
- 2Maintain contract databases and spreadsheets, tracking project budgets, expenditures, and timelines.
- 3Coordinate with contractors, architects, and project managers to resolve contract issues and facilitate payments.
- 4Prepare and distribute bid documents, addenda, and contract award notifications.
- 5Audit contractor invoices against contract terms and project progress, flagging discrepancies.
- 6Generate reports on contract status, budget utilization, and project milestones for management review.
- 7Assist in the development of request for proposals (RFPs) and request for quotes (RFQs) for construction services.
- 8File and archive contract records, ensuring easy retrieval and audit readiness.
Requirements8
- 13+ years of recent paid, full-time, increasingly responsible office-clerical experience in a maintenance, purchasing, or construction setting.
- 2Experience preparing and utilizing databases and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel, Access).
- 3Knowledge of contract administration principles and practices in a construction environment.
- 4Ability to interpret and apply district policies, procedures, and regulations.
- 5Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- 6Effective written and verbal communication skills for interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
- 7Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- 8High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or coursework in business or construction management is preferred.
Salary Insight
$68 - $82k per year
