Concrete Finisher, Construction & Civil Projects
Overview
You will own concrete placement and finishing on civil, industrial, and commercial job sites across the Baltimore area. You will work with Gregory Construction's crew to deliver quality results for cities, DOTs, and major clients. Your day-to-day: setting forms, pouring, screeding, floating, troweling, and curing concrete. This role stands out because you get hands-on training and a path to advance into lead finisher or foreman roles.
What You'll Do8
- 1Place, screed, float, trowel, and finish concrete to spec on flatwork and vertical structures
- 2Operate power trowels, vibrators, and finishing tools to achieve smooth, durable surfaces
- 3Prep job sites by cleaning forms, staging materials, and handling layout
- 4Load and unload trucks with concrete mixers, rebar, forms, and equipment
- 5Support finishers, carpenters, and crew with carpentry tasks like form assembly and stripping
- 6Maintain a clean, safe site: sweep, remove debris, and flag hazards
- 7Follow safety protocols and stop work if conditions are unsafe
- 8Report quality issues, equipment failures, or incidents to the foreman immediately
Requirements8
- 11+ years experience as a concrete finisher or in construction
- 2Proven ability to use hand tools, power tools, and finishing equipment
- 3Physical stamina: lift 50+ lbs, stand for long shifts, work in all weather
- 4Willingness to travel to job sites across the Baltimore metro area
- 5Reliable transportation and punctuality
- 6OSHA 10 or willingness to obtain
- 7Good communication and teamwork skills
- 8Basic math for measuring and calculating concrete volumes
