Companion Caregiver, Senior Home Care Sacramento
Overview
You will own daily care for seniors across Sacramento, Elk Grove, and nearby areas, helping them stay home with dignity. You will join a close-knit team of Angels backed by Visiting Angels' full support, including paid training, PPE, and company vehicles. This role stands out for its flexible schedules, weekly pay, and growth through annual reviews and raises.
What You'll Do8
- 1Assist clients with personal care and hygiene, adapting to each client's needs and preferences.
- 2Manage light housekeeping to keep living spaces safe and comfortable.
- 3Encourage clients to meet exercise and fitness goals, including guided walks and mobility routines.
- 4Prompt clients to take prescription medications at the correct times.
- 5Help with shopping, grocery put-away, and errands, or shop for clients when needed.
- 6Plan and prepare meals with clients, respecting dietary constraints and abilities.
- 7Support mobility and ambulation, from in-home movement to doctor visits and walks.
- 8Act quickly in medical emergencies, reporting health changes or unusual circumstances promptly.

- 118+ years old and legally able to work in the US.
- 2Fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19 with shot record.
- 3High school diploma or equivalent.
- 4Valid driver's license, car insurance, and reliable personal vehicle for client transport.
- 5Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- 6Excellent time-management and ability to juggle multiple duties.
- 7Reliable transportation to and from scheduled client homes.
- 8Physical endurance for carrying groceries and supporting clients.
- 9Comfort with housekeeping and cooking, adhering to dietary constraints.
- 10Willingness to comply with state and office health and safety standards, including background checks.
- 11Ability to use a smartphone for EVV and caregiver notes.
- 12Pass extensive background checks, including Live Scan fingerprinting.
- 13Negative TB screening within the last 90 days.
- 14Registered on the California Home Care Aide Registry.
