Community & Partnerships Lead, AI Legal Tech
Overview
You will build and lead August's presence across the tech and AI ecosystem, designing and hosting events that connect lawyers, engineers, and product leaders. You will own the entire event lifecycle and act as August's connector to the broader tech and AI world, building relationships with press and industry leaders. This role is proactive and revenue-focused, positioning August as a leader in applied AI for professional services. You will work in-person in New York City, backed by leading investors, and help shape the company's category-defining mission.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design and execute multi-format events, including dinners, conferences, and roundtables, using HubSpot and Eventbrite to track and manage logistics.
- 2Build a network across the tech and AI ecosystem, targeting lawyers interested in technology, managing partners, and tech founders through proactive outbound on LinkedIn and email campaigns.
- 3Treat events as a revenue channel, tracking pipeline influence in HubSpot and calculating ROI to convert attendees into customers and design partners.
- 4Co-host events with AI companies, tech platforms, bar associations, law schools, and research groups to expand reach and credibility.
- 5Build relationships with tech and business press, including TechCrunch and Wired, to position August leadership as go-to sources for AI commentary.
- 6Coordinate podcast appearances, speaking opportunities, and written contributions to amplify August's brand across media.
- 7Turn events into content, such as blog posts and LinkedIn posts, using LinkedIn Sales Navigator to identify and engage influencers.
- 8Manage budgets, vendors, and logistics for all events, ensuring smooth execution and tracking metrics like attendance, NPS, and repeat rate.
Requirements8
- 13-5+ years in tech, AI, or B2B SaaS, with knowledge of the broader tech and AI ecosystem.
- 2Strong network of lawyers interested in technology, CIOs, innovation directors, and tech founders.
- 3Event execution experience, from planning to hosting professional events.
- 4Outbound and sales mentality, comfortable with cold outreach and prospecting.
- 5Natural connector who makes people feel welcome and facilitates great conversations.
- 6Highly organized, able to juggle multiple events and manage vendors.
- 7Self-starter who sees opportunities and executes without waiting to be told.
- 8Media savvy, comfortable interfacing with press, analysts, and industry influencers.
