What You'll Do10

  • 1Develop and implement comprehensive public involvement programs for large infrastructure projects, ensuring stakeholder buy-in.
  • 2Craft strategic messaging that educates stakeholders on project purpose, benefits, and impacts.
  • 3Support NEPA public involvement processes and environmental impact data collection.
  • 4Lead the creation of Public Involvement Plans and tailor outreach activities for each project.
  • 5Manage project contact lists using EPITOME software and track stakeholder correspondence.
  • 6Plan and execute stakeholder meetings and events, coordinating logistics and materials.
  • 7Create communication materials: fact sheets, FAQs, website content, news releases, social media posts, and display boards.
  • 8Coordinate information dissemination across print, digital, broadcast, and visual channels.
  • 9Guide project teams on responding to public inquiries and resolve escalated issues.
  • 10Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, agencies, and community stakeholders.

Requirements10

  • 1Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Political Science, or related field.
  • 23-5 years of public involvement or outreach planning experience.
  • 3Familiarity with NEPA public involvement processes or willingness to learn.
  • 4Comprehensive knowledge of grammar, spelling, and business communication.
  • 5Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF editing tools, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • 6Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • 7Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills for varied audiences.
  • 8Willingness to travel and work evenings or weekends as needed.
  • 9Valid Texas driver's license.
  • 10Demonstrated commitment to quality work and professional growth.
