What You'll Do10
- 1Build and service commercial doors, docks, and security systems maintaining clean records and timely paperwork
- 2Identify opportunities to provide customers with products and services that improve reliability and safety
- 3Track and maintain job related documentation and submit promptly
- 4Operate in a safety conscious manner while performing all duties
- 5Assist in on-site installations and repairs and communicate progress to customers and team
- 6Collaborate with dispatch and field leadership to schedule maintenance and service calls
- 7Diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards
- 8Utilize tools and equipment safely to reach heights and lift heavy loads as required
- 9Document service outcomes, parts used, and any follow-up actions requested by customers
- 10Support training and development activities to stay current on product lines and installation techniques
Requirements9
- 1High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
- 2Able to safely lift 100 pounds overhead
- 3Able to work at heights and use a ladder
- 4Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- 5Experience in construction, general labor, service technician, installer, carpenter, mechanic, or related trades helpful but training is available
- 6Willingness to safely perform hands-on installation, maintenance, and repair in industrial settings
- 7Ability to read basic instructions and maintain documentation accurately
- 8Excellent safety mindset and attention to detail
- 9Regularly able to work onsite at customer locations in Chicago area
