Cold Storage Shipping Lead
Overview
Lead freezer pulling and shipping operations in a cold-storage environment. Oversee daily pulling shipping and inventory tasks while ensuring quality and safety.
What You'll Do11
- 1Coordinate daily pulling and shipping assignments based on order volume and staffing
- 2Lead by example accurately pulling frozen meal orders and preparing shipments
- 3Monitor team productivity accuracy and compliance with food safety standards
- 4Perform quality checks and inventory spot audits before orders are shipped
- 5Train and onboard new team members on procedures safety practices and performance expectations
- 6Work in a -10°F freezer environment for extended periods with PPE provided
- 7Safely lift carry and stack products weighing 40+ pounds throughout the shift
- 8Serve as first point of contact for equipment issues order discrepancies and safety concerns
- 9Maintain accurate shift documentation and communicate important updates during shift handoffs
- 10Help maintain a clean organized and safe work environment
- 11Provide coaching and performance feedback to supervisors regarding team members
Requirements10
- 16–12 months of warehouse freezer shipping or order fulfillment experience
- 2Previous experience as a Freezer Puller or warehouse lead preferred
- 3Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to motivate and coach others
- 4Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy
- 5Excellent communication and organizational skills
- 6Reliable dependable and physically capable of repetitive lifting and working in cold temperatures
- 7Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- 8Bilingual English Spanish candidates encouraged to apply
- 9High school diploma or GED preferred
- 10Forklift certification is a plus
