What You'll Do8

  • 1Operate CNC mills and lathes using work instructions from setup personnel.
  • 2Verify dimensional characteristics of parts using calipers, micrometers, and metrology tools.
  • 3Read GD&T blueprints to ensure tolerances and specifications are met.
  • 4Indicate vises and coordinate x, y, z axes for precise setups.
  • 5Meet expected cycle times and production schedules on the 3rd shift.
  • 6Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
  • 7Apply machining principles to troubleshoot and adjust processes.
  • 8Maintain a clean and organized work area in line with lean manufacturing standards.

Requirements9

  • 1Previous CNC operator experience or completed technical school coursework.
  • 23+ years of experience with machine setups for Setup Machinist level.
  • 3Proficiency in reading blueprints and using hand tools.
  • 4Knowledge of calipers, micrometers, and metrology instruments.
  • 5Ability to indicate vises and coordinate x, y, z axes.
  • 6Strong attention to detail and desire to produce quality parts.
  • 7Experience in a manufacturing environment using lean techniques preferred.
  • 8Previous aerospace or defense machining experience preferred.
  • 9Must be a U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident.
