Overview
Provide routine nursing care as a CNA at Merriam Gardens Healthcare & Rehab Center, a skilled nursing facility in Kansas City, Missouri. What You'll Do8
- 1Prepare residents for therapy, activities, physician visits, and religious services, including transporting them to and from these events.
- 2Answer resident call lights promptly and address requests within the first 90 days.
- 3Assist residents with personal hygiene, including bathing and encouraging self-help measures.
- 4Follow infection control procedures per facility policy when isolation techniques are needed.
- 5Chart required information every shift related to CNA care duties.
- 6Present a professional image through dress, behavior, and speech, adhering to Company Standards for resolving resident concerns.
- 7Protect resident rights in all interactions and care activities.
- 8Attend in-service educational programs, on-the-job training, and meetings as directed.
Requirements5
- 1CNA certification required.
- 2Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
- 3Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm.
- 4Willingness to handle residents at varying maturity levels.
- 5Must be able to work dayshift and follow established facility procedures.
